About the book
Jodi and Max enter the production believing they are playing roles. Nikki has something much more literal in mind.
As the script pushes Nikki and Max into increasingly intimate territory, Jodi begins to recognise that the scenes are not simply part of the movie. They are part of Nikki’s game. The problem is that recognising the danger does not make Jodi want it to stop. Each new sign of Nikki’s intentions feeds Jodi’s arousal, making it harder to heed the part of her that understands the risk.
Wives Like Jodi turns the production itself into a trap, blurring performance and reality until protecting the marriage and feeding the fantasy begin pulling Jodi in opposite directions.

The tension at the centre
Jodi and Max willingly step onto Nikki’s set, but once they are cast, the script starts doing the work for her. Scene by scene, Nikki and her director Molly tease Jodi with situations designed to bring Nikki and Max closer while everyone can still pretend it is only part of the production.
That is the trap. Jodi knows what Nikki is doing, Max knows the boundaries are moving, and Molly keeps turning up the heat in plain sight. Walking away would mean admitting the game has become real. Staying means allowing Nikki to keep writing the next step.

An exotic fitness model turned softcore actress and producer, Nikki is glamorous, calculated and completely unapologetic about what she wants. Once she decides Max belongs in her orbit, the production becomes another tool for getting him there.

A gorgeous former model now behind the camera, Molly understands exactly what Nikki is trying to achieve and is more than happy to help. Every instruction, setup and scene gives her another opportunity to make the pressure harder for Jodi and Max to ignore.

Max
Max begins as the loyal husband determined to keep the production professional. Nikki’s looks, confidence and relentless sexuality gradually wear down that certainty, leaving him struggling not to be pulled into waters he knows are getting deeper.
